Hello,

My name is Gail, I’m based in Hertfordshire and I’m a mum to one little boy and a dog. We love to be outdoors and we can often be found exploring woods or local walks at the weekends.

I’m a PMP (Project Management Professional) certified Project Manager, which has been my day to day for the last 20+ years. I found my love for interiors and home improvements during our extension. Not only was I heavily involved in the layout and design, but being on site everyday, gave me the opportunity to work closely with builders and trades throughout the six-month build. On completing our project I came to realise just how much I enjoyed the whole process from end to end. Delivering projects is something I have done my whole career but this landed differently with me. I had created something beautiful that worked for our family home life.

A while back I decided it was time to reset and restart. After a family bereavement my perspective had already shifted; time with family became more important than anything else, and staying in the corporate world no longer felt right. I realised I wanted to build something meaningful, flexible, and fulfilling; something I could be proud of, while being present for my family.

I’ve always loved colour and organisation, and I believe both play a powerful role in how our homes make us feel. Colour can lift us, calm us, and inspire us, whilst thoughtful organisation helps reduce the everyday chaos that naturally comes with busy lives.

And so, Perfectly Imperfect Havens was born - for real homes and real families.

Whilst show homes and picture-perfect interiors can look beautiful, they rarely reflect how we actually live. Homes should be designed to support the people in them. My approach brings beauty and practical living together, creating thoughtful, lived-in spaces that work for each family's needs. They may not be Instagram-perfect, but they are perfectly imperfect havens for the people who call it their home.
